Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Traditional Labor Law Associate for its Orange County, CA office. The role involves representing employers in traditional labor matters and providing advice on federal and California workplace laws.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, 4–6 years of litigation or advisory experience, and CA Bar admission. Traditional labor experience and travel willingness are a plus.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and CA Bar admission preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in litigation or advisory roles.
• Traditional labor experience and knowledge of federal and CA workplace laws preferred.
• CA Bar Admission required and understanding of enforcement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Handle unfair labor practice charges at the NLRB.
• Research and draft legal documents for labor matters.
• Represent management in NLRB elections.
• Advise employers on union organizing and corporate campaigns.
• Negotiate and advise on collective bargaining agreements.
• Manage grievances, arbitration, and related proceedings.
• Obtain mass picketing injunctions as needed.
• Advise on wage/hour issues, leave management and disability accommodations.
• Review handbooks, policies and forms for compliance.
• Review compensation, commission and bonus plans.
• Provide management training on labor relations and workplace issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
