Job summary

gpac, a leading national law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Partner to join its Los Angeles office. This role offers an established attorney the chance to contribute to a sophisticated national platform and to help expand the California practice.

The partner will manage cases through all litigation stages, advise clients on strategy, and represent employers in hearings, trials, arbitrations, and settlements.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar admission.
• 8+ years of litigation experience in employment law.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently.
• Significant employer-side Labor & Employment experience.
• Experience advising employers and handling employment disputes.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
• Established client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including strategy, discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial.
• Advise and communicate with clients regarding case strategy, developments, and potential outcomes.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and settlement proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Evaluate legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals and attorneys to prepare cases for trial.
