Job summary

A leading national law firm in San Francisco seeks an established Labor & Employment Partner to join its growing practice. The role offers exposure to sophisticated clients, high-value matters, and participation in a national platform across offices and practice areas.

The candidate will advise on wage and hour issues, discrimination and wrongful termination, and guide on risk management, policies, and strategic workforce decisions, while helping grow the San Francisco footprint.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California Bar admission and good standing.
• Significant experience practicing Labor & Employment law on behalf of employers.
• Strong experience handling sophisticated employment litigation and/or counseling matters.
• Comprehensive knowledge of California and federal labor and employment laws.
• Strong client relationships and demonstrated business-development capabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in employment litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitrations and other workplace disputes.
• Counsel employers on wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination matters.
• Advise on employment policies, workplace practices, employee relations and broader risk management.
• Provide strategic guidance on reductions in force, employee discipline, terminations and other personnel matters.
• Handle labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, grievances and related disputes.
• Advise clients on restrictive covenants, trade secrets and other employment-related business issues.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm's national Labor & Employment and litigation practices.
• Contribute to the continued development of the firm's San Francisco Labor & Employment offering.

This is an opportunity for a highly regarded Labor & Employment attorney to join a national platform with a sophisticated client base and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the firm’s presence in Northern California.
