A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel with 8+ years of experience to join its growing Labor, Employment & Higher Education practice in San Jose.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior employment attorney seeking a position combining sophisticated employment litigation, strategic client counseling and meaningful business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise business clients on complex employment law matters
• Handle employment litigation and contentious workplace disputes
• Draft pleadings, briefs and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft and review workplace policies
• Investigate employee complaints and workplace issues
• Represent clients in court proceedings
• Provide strategic employment law advice
• Develop and maintain client relationships

Who You Are

• 8+ years of employment law experience
• Strong background in both employment litigation and counseling
• Active California Bar admission in good standing
• Experience drafting pleadings, briefs and workplace policies
• Experience conducting workplace investigations
• Strong academic credentials
• Exceptional legal research, analytical and writing skills
• Confident oral advocacy skills and willingness to appear in court
• Excellent interpersonal and client service abilities

Compensation

Salary Range: $230,000 – $260,000
