Job summary

O’Hagan Meyer seeks a full-time Paralegal in its Orange County office to support labor and employment defense litigation, including single and multi-plaintiff suits, Class/PAGA actions, and complex matters.

The ideal candidate holds a Paralegal Certificate, has at least one year of related experience, strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficient use of Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel, MS Office and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program
• At least 1 year of experience in labor and employment litigation
• Strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in discovery: drafting responses to interrogatories and requests for production
• Analyze and summarize client documents and prepare chronologies
• Prepare and serve subpoenas for records and depositions
• Conduct witness interviews and gather facts and evidence
• Assist with motion practice, depositions, hearings and trials preparation
• Organize document productions and analyze key documents
• Compile data for Class and PAGA damage claims
• Conduct legal research for motions and trials
