Job summary

PrideGlobal is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join its global legal team in Jacksonville, FL. This onsite role reports to the General Counsel and provides strategic guidance on a broad range of labor and employment matters to HR and business leaders.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of labor and employment law experience, strong knowledge of federal employment laws including FMLA/ADA, and familiarity with Florida employment law.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law and in good standing.
  • 4+ years of labor and employment law experience, preferably supporting corporate or in-house clients.
  • Strong knowledge of federal employment laws (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, ADEA).
  • Familiarity with employment laws across multiple U.S. jurisdictions, especially Florida.
  • Experience advising on employee relations, investigations, and terminations.

Responsibilities

  • Advise HR and business leaders on day-to-day labor and employment matters.
  • Provide guidance on FMLA, ADA, accommodations, leaves of absence, and compliance matters.
  • Counsel stakeholders and support investigations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and concerns.
  • Draft and review employment-related agreements, policies, notices, and communications.
  • Draft and update employment policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and advise on necessary actions.
  • Partner with HR on reductions in force and workforce planning.
  • Assist with EEOC, DOL, and other agency claims and investigations.
  • Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to mitigate employment risk.
  • Assist with contract review, drafting, and negotiations as needed.
  • Support internal audits, compliance initiative, and related projects.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert to the broader legal team and business.

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Fully Onsite)

A growing global technology company is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join its legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this attorney will serve as a key legal advisor to HR and business leaders, providing practical, strategic guidance across a broad range of labor and employment matters.

This is an opportunity for an employment attorney who enjoys being a hands-on business partner and working in a fast-paced environment where the ability to provide timely, commercially focused legal guidance is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of federal employment law, experience supporting corporate or in-house clients, and particular familiarity with Florida employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise HR and business leaders on day-to-day labor and employment matters, including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Provide legal guidance regarding FMLA, ADA, accommodations, leaves of absence, and other employment compliance matters.
  • Counsel stakeholders and support investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other employee concerns.
  • Review, draft, and advise on employment-related agreements, policies, notices, employee communications, and other legal documents.
  • Draft and update employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Monitor changes in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and advise the organization regarding necessary changes or actions.
  • Partner with HR and leadership on reductions in force, reorganizations, workforce planning, and other employment-related initiatives.
  • Assist with EEOC, DOL, and other governmental agency claims, investigations, inquiries, and responses.
  • Provide practical, business-focused legal advice designed to proactively identify and mitigate employment-related risk.
  • Assist with contract review, drafting, negotiation, and other related legal matters as needed.
  • Support internal audits, compliance initiatives, and other employment-related legal projects.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted resource to the broader legal team and business.

Qualifications:
