Job summary

Ron Sunshine Associates LLC, a leading international law firm, seeks an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join its Labor & Employment Practice Group in Los Angeles or San Francisco. The senior litigator will own significant matters, supervise junior attorneys, and provide strategic employment guidance to employers.

Hybrid work arrangement is offered. Candidates must have a JD, active CA bar, and 10+ years of employment litigation experience with strong deposition and trial

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and California Bar admission in good standing.
• 10+ years of employment litigation experience, including single-plaintiff and wage/hour class actions.
• Ability to independently manage a full litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and supervision of associates and staff.
• Strong deposition, courtroom, and motion practice experience; strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of employment litigation in state and federal courts.
• Serve as lead or day-to-day case manager on sophisticated disputes.
• Develop litigation strategy and oversee execution through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and appear in court.
• Supervise associates, paralegals, and other litigation staff.
• Advise employers on risk management and compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver client solutions.

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join its highly regarded Labor & Employment Practice Group in either Los Angeles or San Francisco. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior employment litigator to assume a leadership role within a sophisticated practice known for handling complex workplace disputes and providing strategic advice to employers.

The successful candidate will take ownership of significant litigation matters, supervise junior attorneys, advise clients on employment-related risks, and help grow a collaborative, high-performing practice serving a diverse client base.

Candidate Profile

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
• Active California Bar admission in good standing
• 10+ years of employment litigation practice
• Strong background handling single-plaintiff employment matters and wage and hour class actions
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Proven leadership skills, including mentoring and supervising associates and support staff
• Significant deposition, courtroom, hearing, and motion practice experience
• Sound case management, strategic planning, and project management capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional client service
• Familiarity with employment counseling and preventative workplace advice is preferred
• Strong business development aptitude and relationship management skills
• Excellent written advocacy, oral communication, and analytical abilities
• Practical, business-oriented approach to solving client challenges

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: $350,000 - $450,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location.
