The role combines courtroom advocacy with advisory work for employers and employees, involving policy reviews, investigations, and proactive risk mitigation. Strong communication and client-service orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school; OH bar admission confirmed.
• 3+ years of labor and employment law experience with substantial litigation.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment statutes and regulations.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in state and federal courts and agencies through all litigation phases.
• Manage a diverse caseload including discrimination, wage-hour, union issues.
• Conduct internal investigations and draft investigation reports.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and deposition notices; plan trials.
• Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and policies.
• Negotiate settlements and ADR outcomes that fit client objectives.
• Supervise junior attorneys and staff; manage budgets and communications.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on employment-related matters.
• Participate in business development and client pitches.
