Boutique/regional firm seeking an experienced Labor & Employment attorney to lead and grow its practice. This is a senior leadership role with meaningful autonomy, client-facing work, and team oversight.
Serve as trusted counsel to individuals and small- to mid-sized businesses on labor & employment matters, with exposure to corporate, M&A, and litigation work.
Handle the full range of employment issues: contracts (employment, severance, restrictive covenants), HR counseling, internal investigations, and terminations.
Defend discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wage-and-hour claims in state/federal courts and before agencies (EEOC, DOL, KY agencies).
Support employment and HR due diligence in M&A transactions.
Supervise and mentor associates and staff; contribute to practice development and thought leadership including content for social-media channels.
J.D. with active Kentucky bar admission (or eligible/willing to sit).
7+ years of labor & employment experience.
Strong knowledge of federal and Kentucky employment laws.
Litigation experience in courts and administrative forums.
Portable book preferred, not required (compensation adjusted accordingly).
Polished communicator with leadership presence and sound judgment.
