Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Unit Secretary to join the nursing station team for night shift duties. This role combines clerical work with receptionist responsibilities, handling incoming and outgoing communications and supporting nurses on the floor.

Under general supervision, you will process physician orders, maintain charts, records, supplies and equipment, and perform computer-based tasks. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 2 weeks of hire; must maintain (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross BLS).

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical work at the nurses’ station.
• Serve as receptionist at the nursing station; handle communications.
• Process physician’s orders; maintain charts, records, supplies and equipment.
• Accurately perform computer-related tasks.
