Job summary

Baptist Health seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Labor and Delivery team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This part-time role involves assisting the surgical team, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring patient safety during procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile fields, anticipating needs, handling specimens, and coordinating with the team to minimize anesthesia time. BLS required with relevant CST/TS-C credentials encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in surgical technology.
• BLS certification required.
• Surgical technology experience and related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and case progression to prepare accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and ensure safety.
