Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I for St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. You will assist the surgical team during procedures and help maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.

The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program, certification as a Surgical Technologist, and Basic Life Support. A sign-on bonus is offered; evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required within 12 months of graduation or 6 months of hire if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during the intra-operative phase and maintain a sterile, appropriately equipped environment.
• Perform OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, and maintenance of sterile fields; hand off instruments and initiate counts.
• Provide Surgical Technologist duties including on-call duties as needed.
