Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Labor & Delivery unit at UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus in Burlington, VT. This full-time role maintains sterile fields and supports intraoperative care, with opportunities to precept and mentor team members.

Responsibilities include OR turnover, safety checks, equipment setup, inventory management, and daily equipment checks. Union environment with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Active and current National Certification as CST (or TS-C).
• BLS Certification—renewed bi-annually or as required.

Responsibilities

• Open, turnover, and set up labor and delivery operating rooms and patient rooms as needed.
• Safety check of operating rooms at beginning and end of shift.
• Open bed warmer setup in labor and delivery operating rooms.
• Inventory and stock labor and delivery operating rooms and clean supply rooms.
• Transport of equipment to and from CSR.
• Cleaning and stocking vaginal delivery carts.
• Emergency equipment daily checks as listed.
