Job summary

UNC Health – Holly Springs Hospital is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our Labor & Delivery team. You will support Cesarean sections and emergent obstetric procedures, collaborating with OB/GYN physicians, CNMs, OB providers, CRNAs, and delivery nurses to ensure sterile, properly equipped operating rooms for safe deliveries.

The position is part-time (24 hours/week) with a friendly, community-focused hospital environment.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing Program; military training may be substituted.
• 0-3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical skill duties in all operating room areas.
• Maintains instrumentation and sterilization procedures.
• Assists in intraoperative preparation and patient safety.
• Acts as a mentor/preceptor for trainees when needed.
