Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for the Women’s Services Unit. You will provide clinical expertise in a high-acuity environment, supporting laboring patients and participating in deliveries, including C-sections, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.

This PRN position requires FL RN licensure (compact allowed with permit within 60 days), a nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and certifications (BLS, ACLS within 6 months, NRP

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure, active FL RN within 60 days if compact
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications (NRP within 6 months)
• Previous acute care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow written/verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for laboring patients
• Assist in delivery, including C-sections
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment
• Maintain and review patient records including tests and results
• Administer medications per physician orders
