Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks an RN III for Labor & Delivery, PRN Nights at Rockwall. The successful candidate provides high-quality nursing care, supports families, and adheres to all safety and clinical protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include Texas RN license, 1 year RN experience, and L&D preference. Training may occur at Arlington corporate office. Benefits include 401k and EAP as part of Texas Health’s generous offerings.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience as a registered nurse
• 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
• RN license required at hire (Texas RN) and CPR/BCLS maintained
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire; NRP and NRPA within 90 days; CPI training within 90 days
• AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring required within two years of hire

Responsibilities

• Respond to safety, physical, psychological and social needs of patients
• Honor patient worth and support families and caregivers
• Engage with patients and families to understand health and illness and foster mutual problem solving
• Create a healing environment ensuring privacy, safety and confidentiality
• Provide attentive reassurance and consistent care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery setting
• Support unit-based governance and collaborate with the team to improve patient care

Education

Nursing Diploma

Associate's degree in Nursing

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
