Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This role provides care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with emphasis on safety, comfort, and family support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess health status of mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
  • Administer medications and interventions as prescribed to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Assist with labor management including fetal monitoring and pain management.
  • Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum, and newborn care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other professionals for optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient interactions, assessments, and interventions timely.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care during labor and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate patients and their families on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and newborn care
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical care as needed during labor and delivery
