Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. You will monitor mothers and newborns, administer medications, assist with labor and delivery, and provide education to families.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS and NRP certification, and at least two years in labor and delivery. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum two years’ experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, multidisciplinary settings

Responsibilities

  • Document patient interactions, assessments and interventions accurately and timely
  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed during labor and delivery

  • Educate patients and their families on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and newborn care

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical care as needed during labor and delivery
