Job summary
Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in the In House Registry. The role involves rotating shifts and providing expert nursing care to acutely ill obstetric patients within the Northwestern Medicine system.
Requirements include a BSN, current Illinois RN license, BLS, and strong collaboration and analytic skills. ADN with commitment to BSN within three years is acceptable.
Qualifications
- BSN required.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Analytical abilities to assess and plan patient care.
- ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data to identify expected outcomes and develops an individualized care plan.
- Directs care and coordinates with any assistants involved in patient care.
- Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to create a documented plan focused on outcomes.
- Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
- Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates the care plan accordingly.
- Uses evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
