Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to identify patient health alterations, assess responses, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes to achieve optimal care. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel, coordinate care across disciplines, and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment.

BSN and board certification preferred; Florida RN license required.

Qualifications

• BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire.
• All nurses hired after April 30, 2014 without a BSN will be required to obtain a BSN within three years of hire.
• All nurses hired after June 30, 2011 without a professional nursing board certification will be required to obtain a professional nursing board certification after two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years of experience.
• Current RN license in the State of Florida

Responsibilities

• Identify patient health alterations and assess responses to health problems.
• Implement nursing interventions based on nursing and other sciences.
• Supervise/direct care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.
• Coordinate care between professional disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
