Job summary

Centralus Health, in partnership with Cayuga Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. This full-time nighttime role requires coordination with Maternal Child Health leadership and adherence to AWONN, ACOG, NNA, and AORN guidelines.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning, and ongoing documentation; support for staff development and clinical leadership within the department.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Active New York State RN license required.
• Will obtain BLS during introductory period; ACLS completed by end of Orientation.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient and family assessments and develops person-centered care plans to meet complex and changing needs.
• Provides skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Uses critical thinking to make sound clinical decisions, evaluate outcomes, address concerns, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Applies evidence-based practice and demonstrates accountability within the care team and healthcare system.
• Serves as a trusted clinical resource, mentor, and leader in supporting staff development and patient care excellence.
• Actively works to obtain knowledge base in 1 or more of the specialty areas within MCH (Pediatrics, Labor& Delivery, NICU).
