Job summary

Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit at Cayuga Medical Center. You will provide direct patient care and support obstetric patients through labor and delivery with the Maternal Child Health team.

Requirements: Associate Degree in Nursing and NY RN license; BLS during orientation and ACLS by orientation end. Full-time nights, onsite 3x12-hour shifts; weekends/holidays as assigned. A $25,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Active New York State RN license required.
• BLS during introductory period and ACLS completed by orientation end.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient and family assessments and develops person-centered care plans.
• Provides skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies and standards.
• Uses critical thinking to make sound clinical decisions and maintain documentation.
• Applies evidence-based practice and demonstrates accountability within the care team.
• Serves as a trusted clinical resource, mentor, and leader in staff development and patient care.
• Works to gain knowledge in one or more Maternal Child Health specialties (Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, NICU).
