Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Labor and Delivery team in Texas. The role provides care to obstetric patients through labor, delivery, recovery and the immediate postpartum period, and supportive newborn care.

The ideal candidate will hold RN licensure in the state, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and possess BLS and NRP certifications, with prior obstetric experience and strong fetal monitoring skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience (required).
• RN licensure in the state of practice (required).
• BLS and NRP certifications (required).

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery and recovery.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and oxytocin or other agents per physician orders.
• Assist the provider during vaginal and operative deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate appropriate intervention.
• Provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support and discharge education.
