Job summary

MedStar Health is hiring Labor & Delivery nurses in the District of Columbia. The unit cares for pregnant patients from 16 weeks gestation through delivery and immediate postpartum recovery, including high-risk cases and complex medical conditions.

Candidates should hold an Associate's degree in Nursing with a preference for a BSN, and be prepared to pursue a BSN within 12 months of hire. DC RN licensure, CPR and EFM certification within 12–15 months are required or expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level, enroll in a BSN program within 12 months of hire date and complete within 4 years.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• DC RN licensure required; CPR certification required; EFM certification within 12–15 months depending on program.
