Job summary

Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery to join the full-time day shift. The unit features Level III NICU and 14 LDR rooms, with 24/7 OB Hospitalists and strong team support.

Required are an associate degree or nursing diploma (BSN preferred), RN licensure upon hire, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, NRPA within 90 days, and CPI annually. Minimum 1 year RN/L&D experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days of hire
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
• At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.
