Job summary

Texas Health Alliance is seeking an RN for Labor and Delivery on a full-time day shift. You will deliver patient care within a high-volume LDR unit, adhering to the Nursing Process and maintaining safety, documentation, and transfer coordination.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, preferably with a BSN. ACS/NRP/CPR certifications are expected within specified timelines, and prior L&D experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• CLIAFE compliance with foreign education equivalency.
• RN - Registered Nurse credential.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days.
• CPI training maintained annually within 90 days.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency.
• At least 1 year L&D experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures.
• Initiates action to meet information needs of patient/significant others.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and during transfers.
