Job summary

The Labor and Delivery nurse at CoxHealth South in Springfield cares for women and newborns during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The role is day shift with two shifts per week on site, in a high-volume obstetric unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Care for mothers and neonates during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.
• Recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize and communicate with patient, family, and physicians.
• Educate families throughout the birth process.
