Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to support women and neonates through labor and childbirth at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO. The role demands vigilance in monitoring labor, providing education, and coordinating with physicians for safe outcomes.

The nurse delivers family-centered care across antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum stages, recognizing complications and communicating effectively with patients and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire
• NRP required within 12 months of hire
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered nursing care to mothers and neonates across antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum stages
• Recognize complications quickly, stabilize when needed, and communicate with patient, family and medical team
• Assist, educate and support families throughout labor and delivery process
