Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN PRN for the Day shift in the Labor and Delivery unit. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using established nursing processes and collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The RN will administer medications, monitor patient status, educate families, and participate in emergencies with CPR and code team activities. A valid RN license is required and experience in obstetrics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered care through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists during procedures and supports the care team in planning and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols and documents care accurately.
