Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a dynamic Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate obstetric care within our patient-centered model. You will perform clinical assessments, manage treatment autonomously, and collaborate with an exceptional team dedicated to safe, high-quality care.

The role requires a valid Florida RN license, BLS, 1 year of L&D experience, and the ability to contribute to delivery and cesarean procedures. BSN preferred with ongoing certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• 1 year RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
• BSN is preferred.
• Neonatal resuscitation competency within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS Instructor certification within 60 days of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor eligibility before start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues.
• Evaluate obstetrical patient for conditions impacting mother and fetus.
• Participate in routine delivery as well as Cesarean sections.
• Advocate for patient safety and optimal care.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments.
