Job summary
SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Sitka, Alaska. The RN will deliver professional care across labor, delivery, and post-partum, including fetal monitoring and neonatal care. On‑call may be required; comprehensive benefits are provided.
The role emphasizes patient-centered, culturally sensitive care with collaboration across providers and teams to ensure safety and positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Alaska RN license (or eligible in other US state).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
- Clinical competency within 3 months and every 3 years.
- High-risk competency within 3 months and every year.
- New graduates must have BLS at hire and obtain area certifications within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and policy.
- Monitor fetal status and neonatal care; respond to emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
