Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate obstetric care within a collaborative team. You will perform clinical assessments, manage complex situations, and participate in routine deliveries and cesarean sections.

Ideal candidates will hold Florida RN licensure, 1 year L&D experience, and BSN preferred. ACLS/BCLS and Neonatal Resuscitation training within required timelines are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida and eligible for multistate licensure
• 1 year RN experience in Labor & Delivery
• BSN preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BCLS) required within specified timelines

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
• Evaluates the obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise the well-being of mother and fetus
• Participate in routine delivery as well as planned or emergent Cesarean Sections
• Act as an advocate for patient safety
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments
