Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in North Dakota to support expectant mothers through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. You will monitor, document, and coordinate care with obstetric teams to ensure safe, compassionate outcomes.

Requirements include an active RN license in good standing in ND, 2+ years L&D experience, BLS/ACLS, and strong communication. A $17,500 new-hire incentive is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (ND) or compact-state license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications within orientation period.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum patients.
• Monitor maternal vitals, fetal heart tones, and labor progression; report changes promptly.
• Implement and adjust individualized obstetric care plans.
• Assist with normal vaginal deliveries and C-sections; manage pain relief options.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and lactation consultants.
• Document all phases of labor and delivery per hospital policies.
