Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Part Time (Per Diem) Patient Care Technician for the Labor and Delivery area, spanning antepartum to the Labor and Delivery triage unit. The role emphasizes patient-centered care within a Magnet-recognized organization, offering a supportive nursing team and opportunities for continued training and growth.

Responsibilities include vital signs, assistance with daily care, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in the ED and labor areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification and CPR certification required (or obtained within 30 days).
• One year of PCT experience in an acute hospital setting preferred.
• Nursing program enrollment with two clinical rotations completed is desirable.
• EMT or field medic experience may be considered for adult ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions for ED patients and families.
• Provide clinical tasks: vitals, bathing, feeding, hygiene, wound care, and emotional support.
