Job summary

Singing River Health System in Ocean Springs, MS is seeking an OB Technician for the Labor and Delivery unit. The role supports the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field during procedures, while also performing routine clerical duties as needed.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, surgical tech training, and preferred surgical tech certification. BCLS and de-escalation training are required within orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Surgical Technician program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification; de-escalation training within orientation period (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing and restorative care in Labor and Delivery.
• Assist and pass instruments during surgical procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare operating room before surgery or delivery and manage required instruments.
• Perform routine clerical duties as needed within the unit.
• Work under RN supervision and follow patient care management protocols.
