Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is seeking a Specialty Nurse for a 13-week contract at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. A current DC license (or compact state eligibility) is required, plus CPR certification and at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery or Postpartum experience.

The nurse will apply nursing process and theory to advance patient care as an expert clinician and educator, coordinating care across inpatient and outpatient settings while leading a multidisciplinary team to promote

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse license in Maryland or a compact state and
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery or Postpartum nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based care based on the nursing process and hospital policies.
• Coordinate programs involving inpatients, outpatients, families, and staff.
• Provide leadership for a multidisciplinary health care team to support quality and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and relevant specialty research.
• Foster a clinical environment of service excellence.
