Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice. The role requires adapting to acute patient needs, with emphasis on therapeutic communication and a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualified candidates have a nursing degree (BSN/AS), 1 year of RN experience, and L&D experience is highly preferred. Certifications (BLS, ACLS within 6 months, NRP within 6 months, CPI within 6 months) and TN licensure or

Qualifications

Your degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.)
1 year of RN experience
Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred
BLS
ACLS within 6 months
NRP within 6 months
AWHONN basic, intermediate and advanced within one year
CPI Training & Certification within 6 months
Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State

Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act.
You will use therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintain a safe environment.
You will plan individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary team.
You will participate in performance improvement activities.
You will make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and staff skill.
You will serve as a clinical resource and respond to information requests promptly.
