Labor and Employment Attorney - Class Action

Our client is a fast-growing plaintiff-side employment law firm based in Downtown Los Angeles. The firm represents workers in wage & hour class actions and PAGA representative actions against regional, national, and Fortune 500 employers across a wide range of industries. Because of significant growth and an expanding caseload, the firm has an immediate need for experienced class action attorneys who can step in and take ownership of cases right away.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced wage & hour litigator to carry a meaningful caseload, work directly with firm leadership, and be rewarded for results. You'll handle substantive matters from day one in both state and federal court, and you'll have real room to advance as the firm continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of wage & hour class action and PAGA matters from pre-filing investigation through resolution
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions, including class certification briefing
• Take and defend depositions and manage written discovery
• Prepare for and attend mediations, and negotiate settlements
• Oversee settlement approval process and related filings
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel, and keep cases moving on schedule
• Collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy

Work Schedule

• This position is based in the firm's Downtown Los Angeles office, and in-office work is preferred.
• Hybrid or remote arrangements will be considered for candidates with a long commute into DTLA.
