Job summary

A fast-growing plaintiffs employment law firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a full-time attorney to represent employees in wage and hour class actions. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor, an active California Bar license, and 0 to 2 years of related experience. You will manage cases with mentorship from senior attorneys in a supportive culture that fosters professional development. Qualifications

• Approximately 0 to 2 years of employment law experience preferred.
• Exposure to wage and hour class actions and/or PAGA is preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Represent employees in wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and write briefs and strategy memos.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Help manage a growing caseload and meet deadlines.
• Work closely with senior attorneys.

Location

Job Description

• Represent employees in wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters involving unpaid overtime, meal and rest breaks, unreimbursed expenses, and related claims
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents in state and federal court
• Conduct legal research and write clear, persuasive briefs and case strategy memos
• Take and defend depositions with guidance from experienced class action litigators
• Help manage a growing caseload and hit deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Work closely with senior attorneys while building toward independently managing your own matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Approximately 0 to 2 years of employment law experience with exposure to wage and hour class actions and or PAGA preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
• Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage priorities and deadlines
