Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted and in good standing in New York.
• 5–7 years of employment law experience.
• Experience counseling clients on federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, and AI-related issues in the workplace.
• Draft and update employee handbooks and employment policies.
• Represent employers in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Handle harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims, breach of contract, and other disputes.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, agency responses, and position statements.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions.
• Conduct witness interviews and fact investigations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenants, severance agreements, and other employment-related agreements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both employment counseling and litigation, with a background representing employers and advising clients on compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, paid sick leave, and emerging issues such as AI in the workplace
• Draft and update employee handbooks and employment policies
• Represent employers in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations
• Handle matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims, breach of contract, and other employment disputes
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, agency responses, and position statements
• Prepare for and conduct depositions
• Conduct witness interviews and fact investigations
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenants, severance agreements, and other employment-related agreements
