The firm represents employers of all sizes, guiding them through litigation in state and federal courts, arbitration, and administrative matters, as well as proactive compliance and policy drafting. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of employment-litigations experience, strong research and writing skills, and NJ Bar admission (NY Bar a plus).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of litigation experience
• Superior research and analytical skills, with persuasive writing and oral advocacy strengths
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required; New York Bar a plus
• Substantial litigation experience in employment matters including trial, arbitration, and administrative proceedings
• Experience advising employer clients on employment law compliance and risk management

Responsibilities

Job Description

Archer & Greiner (“Archer”), P.C. is seeking a Labor & Employment attorney to be based in its Hackensack, NJ office. Our Labor & Employment Practice represents employers of all sizes — from closely held businesses and mid-size companies to larger enterprises — across a wide range of industries. We serve as trusted counsel to management in both contentious disputes and the proactive guidance that helps clients avoid them.

On the litigation side, our attorneys defend employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies, handling matters from initial charge response through discovery, motion practice, and trial. They are equally at home in arbitration proceedings and workplace investigations. On the counseling side, our attorneys guide clients through the full employment lifecycle — advising on hiring practices, workplace policies, discipline, and terminations, and drafting the agreements and handbooks that protect employers before disputes arise.

We are seeking a self-motivated attorney, capable of managing significant responsibility while working independently and efficiently. The successful candidate will have excellent case analysis, research, writing, and drafting skills.

Salary and Benefits

Archer offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000, commensurate with related experience, with an incentive bonus offered on originations.
