Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse who collaborates with the care team to protect, promote and optimize the health of mothers and newborns. You will practice according to hospital policies, nursing standards, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The role requires ALCS, BCLS, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation credentials within specified timelines, and an RN license with an associate or bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 4 months of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN Registered Nurse credential.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health.
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care and address patient needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, Professional Practice Model, and ethical standards.
• Report non-compliance and safety concerns through appropriate channels.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The professional registered nurse (RN) incorporates creative factors from Watson’s theory into his/her practice. Practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy, Professional Practice Model. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

What qualifications you will need:
