Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks a Lactation Consultant RN to support breastfeeding families and staff. The RN provides education and clinical support to new mothers and coordinates outpatient lactation consultations as needed.

The role also serves as a resource for hospital personnel and physicians within the lactation program, enhancing patient care and outcomes across the service line.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) functions as a Lactation Counselor/Consultant RN through MHUMC Lactation Services, a hospital based breastfeeding center. Provides education to and support for the patients who chose to breastfeed; and to those patients who do not chose to breastfeed but may have questions about breast care after delivery. Provides education for the hospital staff and the community. Serves as a resource for hospital staff and physicians; and outpatient consultations on a referral basis. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Required
• Associate Degree
• 1 year of RN experience or more
