Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to collaborate with the care team and provide high-quality obstetric nursing. You will implement evidence-based care for mothers and newborns, following hospital policy and state regulations.

The role requires RN licensure and relevant certifications (ACLS, BCLS, Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation) within specified timelines, with a focus on patient safety and compassionate family-centered care.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Current RN license (RN) is required.
• Degree in nursing: Associate Degree, RN Diploma, or Bachelors Degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability.
• Provide care in accordance with hospital policies, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and nursing standards.
• Support high-risk labor and delivery patients and families with evidence-based nursing interventions.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) incorporates creative factors from Watson’s theory into his/her practice. Practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy, Professional Practice Model. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
