Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department standards and the state’s requirements. You will work with physicians and the care team using established nursing models and advocate for patients and families.

The role requires RN licensure, an approved degree, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS within specified times; NRP within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where practicing
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment start date
• NRP certification within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or RN Diploma from an approved program

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Collaborates with physicians and care team to provide individualized, compassionate care
• Acts as advocate for patients/families/caregivers and supports department performance

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the Labor and Delivery RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The Labor and Delivery RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
