Qualifications

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the L&D setting and monitor mother and baby.
• Assist with birthing, monitor vital signs and recognize complications.
• Educate patients and address psychosocial needs post-delivery.
• Coordinate patient care and assist other staff as needed.

Pay: $3240 / Week

Hours: 36.00

Location: Lebanon, NH

The Labor and Delivery Nurse assumes responsibility andaccountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery ofpatient care in the L&D Setting. TheLabor and Delivery Nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments inan effective and efficient manner with supervision.

The Labor and Delivery Nurse works with Mothers during thefinal stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the Mother’s vitalsigns, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possiblecomplications. TheLabor and DeliveryNurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs ofMothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performanceability in the coordination of patient care.Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountablein managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patientcare.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license within the state ofpractice

• One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience withinthe last three years preferred

• RNC-OB Preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable
