Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Labor Analyst to support Workforce Management at our Raleigh headquarters. You will execute daily operational tasks, assist in configuration, data loads, and validation to keep the WFM environment accurate and usable.

You will collaborate with Store Operations, Finance, HR, Payroll, Technology, and vendors to resolve issues, maintain data integrity, and support labor planning processes.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Workforce Management, HR Systems or related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide WFM support, resolve user issues, manage tickets and escalations.
  • Load and validate labor budgets, forecasts, and scheduling data.
  • Test system changes, releases and integrations; maintain audit docs.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and SOPs; train users and governance activities.

Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Labor Analyst supports the Workforce Management Manager by executing the daily operational, system-support, configuration, maintenance, and validation work required to keep the enterprise WFM environment accurate, stable, and usable. The position serves as a hands-on resource for store and field support, recurring production activities, approved configuration changes, labor-budget and data loads, schedule-cycle support, testing, documentation, and issue resolution.The analyst works closely with Store Operations, Field Leadership, Finance, HR, Payroll, Technology, and external vendors to resolve issues, protect data integrity, and support consistent labor-planning processes.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibility allocations are approximate and may shift based on business priorities.WFM Support & Issue ManagementProvide WFM support, resolve user issues, manage tickets, and coordinate escalations.Track recurring issues and maintain support documentation.Configuration & System MaintenanceExecute approved system configuration changes and organizational updates.Monitor interfaces, jobs, and data feeds; maintain change-control documentation.Labor Planning & Schedule OperationsLoad and validate labor budgets, forecasts, and scheduling data.Support schedule generation, reconcile labor data, and monitor key planning metrics.Testing, Validation & Production ControlsTest system changes, releases, and integrations.Perform validations, data reconciliations, and maintain audit documentation.Reporting, Documentation & TrainingMaintain reports, dashboards, SOPs, and training materials.Support user training, governance activities, and critical WFM processes.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, or a related fieldExperience2+ years of experience in Workforce Management, HR Systems or related field.Technical SkillsWorking knowledge of WFM platforms (e.g., UKG, Reflexis, Blue Yonder, or similar)Understanding of WFM system technical set upsAnalytical SkillsStrong proficiency in Excel and data analysisExposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferredAbility to communicate insights clearly and conciselyPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting retail, service-based, or multi-unit operationsExposure to labor compliance requirementsInterest in analytical modeling, forecasting, and optimizationKnowledge of SQL, Python, R etc.Key CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with an operational mindsetWillingness to learn and grow into greater ownershipAbility to balance data insights with practical executionExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to document processes and follow governance standardsWork RequirementsLimited off-hours availability may be required for critical loads, releases, incidents, or other time-sensitive WFM cycles. Occasional travel may be required.
