GeoWorld is seeking an experienced Driller to support environmental and geotechnical drilling programs in Long Island and Eastern New York. This full-time position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience with soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and geotechnical drilling. Candidates must possess a CDL, be able to pass a drug test, and have 40-hour HAZWOPER training. Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Driller to support our environmental and geotechnical drilling programs in Long Island and Eastern New York. This full-time position requires experience with soil sampling, installation of various size groundwater monitoring and recovery wells and geotechnical drilling.

Responsibilities

• Operation of truck or track‑mounted drill rig or Geoprobe
• Routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs of tooling and equipment
• Other non‑drilling related technical or mechanical tasks such as treatment system installation and maintenance activities or groundwater sampling

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as lead driller on truck or track‑mounted rotary drill rig
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) with clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test
• 40‑hour HAZWOPER training required
• Ability to travel
• OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour construction safety training are preferred but not required
• Ability to weld a plus
• Experience with operation of heavy equipment (e.g., excavator, bulldozer, etc.) a plus

Salary Range: $30 - $40 per hour. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
