Gehl-Food- is hiring a Labeling Operator for the 3rd shift in Germantown, WI. Work Mon-Thu, 7:00 PM–5:00 AM with a base pay of $22.50 per hour plus shift differential, depending on experience.

This full-time role offers on-site work with a full benefits package and growth opportunities in a team-focused culture. Responsibilities include operating packaging machines, setting up equipment, maintaining line efficiency, and documenting production and quality data.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in manufacturing, packaging, or assembly line production.
• Strong organizational and observational skills.
• Basic math calculations required.
• Ability to read, write and listen in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Palletizer and De-palletizer.
• Perform machine setup, changeovers, tooling changes and troubleshooting.
• Maintain line efficiency to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Record downtime and status in the MES system.
• Document production and quality records accurately.
• Verify packaging codes and alignment with the production schedule.
• Report any unsafe conditions or compliance issues promptly.
• Operate a forklift as needed and work with ASRS storage.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Pay: Base + Shift Differential = $22.50 hourly (+ based on experience)

What You'll Do

• Perform essential functions and operation of the Palletizer and De-palletizer.
• Completes machine set ups, change overs, tooling changes, adjustments and troubleshooting related to the operation of one or more packaging machines.
• Maintains line efficiencies at designed rate and the standards to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Performs general light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment.
• Verbally communicates at shift changes with other operators on status of machines performance.
• Enters equipment downtime and reasons into the MES data system for your equipment promptly.
• Maintains appropriate quality and production documentation.
• Verifies product matches the production schedule and completes inventory documentation.
• Monitors bottle, carton and case codes to ensure the product is being properly packaged and quality standards are being adhered to.
• Reports out of standard results to the Quality department and supervisor immediately.
• Reports unsafe conditions or other compliance issues to assigned Line Lead and/or Supervisor.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Efficient and safe use of fork truck as needed.
• Retrieves and maintains product from the ASRS storage area.
• The individual will be required to lift 50 pounds, bend, climb stairs and stand the majority of their shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You'll Need:

• 6 months previous manufacturing, packaging, or assembly line production experience
• Demonstrated organizational and observational skills, and detail-oriented
• Basic mathematical calculation skills
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and listen to written and oral and instructions in the English language
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision
