Job summary

MCC Label is hiring a Press Operator Assistant to set up and support printing presses per specifications and customer requirements. The role supports changeovers, cleanliness, and quality assurance in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k), along with paid holidays. High school diploma or GED and basic print shop/measurement skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Print shop experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbal and written); team player.
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (ruler test).
• Ability correctable to 20/20 and pass eye test; color test indicates color differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Attains and maintains defined job objectives for planning and execution of jobs and changes.
• Assist in external make-ready operations for changeovers between label jobs.
• Assist in external clean-up activities after changeovers.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment; strip plates from cylinders.
• Locate dies to and from the press and support operator as needed.
• May work with the press operator to view labels with strobe light; follow QA specifications.
• Complete quality assurance sheets and documentation as required.
• Keep machinery clean and workspace organized.
• Work overtime when needed and as assigned.
